Shira Corem

With extensive research experience in genome editing and molecular biology, Dr. Corem heads the genetic research array at BetterSeeds, where she leads projects involving genome editing, breeding, and tissue culture, as well as cross-team scientific coordination. Previously, she served as a senior researcher at the Volcani Institute, focusing on epigenetic breeding and the application and implementation of CRISPR gene-editing technologies. Dr. Corem holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Biomonitoring, cum laude, from the University of Genoa, and a Ph.D. in Plant Science from Tel Aviv University.
